Good news :)

Amr Ahmed from Conquest Mena (NileFM's ad agent) contacted me and liked my work and asked if I can be involved in some logo designs after NileFM's newly redesigned website, so here are a few more pics for your liking..

Wallpaper Mods for NileFM 104.2 Egypt

Saturday, March 25, 2006

Had an epiphany, which for a fortunate or unfortunate reason of which I may never figure out, comes to me quite rarely. But when it does appear to me it tends to bring good results :)

Don't ask me why I chose to wallpapers for them, not exactly being paid for it or anything, but eh guess better than drawing demonic paintings of human souls gnashing and gashing, wailing their miseries in an eternal hellish rage.... hmmm :) that's actually not a bad idea....

El Minia, The Bride of Upper Egypt

Friday, May 20, 2005

Two fishermen on to their daily business.

A district situated about 25 Km north of Minia on the eastern bank of the Nile. At the mouth of a side valley on the bank is seen a steep rocky hill, the Gebel-EI-Tair on the flat of which is the Coptic Monastery of Deir EI-Adra (Monastery of the Virgin). Empress Helena mother of Constantine the great constructed the church in the fourth century. She is also believed to be responsible for founding the monastery of St. Catherine in Sinai. The Convent is one of the spots where the Holy Family rested during their flight into Egypt. The sanctuary is hewn from the rock, with doorway, now half-buried in rubble decorated in Byzantine style. From the top on the hill there is a fine view of the Nile valley with its fields of cotton and sugar cane.

Resthouse for church visitors.
